Joy club Youth Ministries Program
Presented through Baptist  Church Planters

The word JOY stands for Jesus, Others, and You.
The theme is Jesus first, others second, you last.

The purpose of this ministry is to reach boys and girls in and around our church community. Joy club is about presenting the Gospel in a simple and interesting way to help children understand and receive Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Boys and girls are eager imitators of what they see and hear.  The more society allows sin to be visible, and violent, the more our children will learn about the “pleasures” of sin.  Many children begin the habitual practice of unimaginable sin at a very early age.

Here at Oak Grove Baptist church , we have a Joy Club program meeting every Wednesday night at 7:00. This is the same time that the church has prayer meeting. All children are welcome to come between the ages of  4 and 12.

Our class time is divided into two programs..

The Lambs Club ages 4and 5
The Living Lights Club  ages 6 through 12

Children learn about Jesus Christ through lessons, Bible verse memory, workbooks.
Our time is divided into

Praise and singing (learning the theme song for Joy Club)
Story time ( learning a story from the Bible,  Bible verses, reviewing the story)
Crew time ( time to work on their workbooks)
Each child has their own workbook, according to their ages, and they are awarded pins and patches
For completing sections and units in their books.
We keep a master record sheet  of each child and all of his achievements.

Won’t you please come and join us?
Thank You
Mrs. Gerber ( Joy Club Captain)
